Skill Trees

There are no classes. You can learn skills from all eight trees. For example, you can play a fire mage who uses a Paladin aura, or a warrior who has the Ranger's spider.

  • You get a skill point at every level, starting at level 1. Tomes give extra points, and gear can add skill ranks.
  • Skills go up to rank 10. Each tree has tiers of skills that open at levels 1, 5, 9, 13, 17 and 21.
  • You can make one skill on your skill bar the auto skill. Then tapping or walking into a monster uses that skill instead of a plain attack.
  • You can unlearn your skills or attributes at the library in town and spend the points again.

Warrior

Warrior skills are for heavy weapons, charging and fighting many monsters at once. Every Warrior attack makes the monsters it hits bleed.

Ranger

Ranger skills use bows and crossbows. The tree also has Hunter's Mark and a spider that fights with you.

Rogue

Rogue skills use critical hits and poison, and some let you vanish or step next to a monster. Backstab is strongest against a monster at full life.

Paladin

Paladin skills use shields, holy damage and auras.

Mage

Mage skills are fire, cold and lightning spells. The Mage tree also has the Town Portal spell.

Priest

Priest skills heal you, deal holy damage and protect you.

Warlock

Warlock skills curse monsters, drain life, raise the dead and summon a demon.

Shaman

Shaman skills add an element to your weapon, put down totems or cast elemental spells.

Traits

The first time you reach each floor, you pick one of three traits. After each boss, you pick a keystone, which is a bigger trait that can change how your build plays. The traits you are offered are more likely to fit the skills you use.

With upgrades from the innkeeper you can reroll the offers, or banish a trait so it isn't offered again for the rest of that life.
